Andrew and I lost touch over the years but I remember him fondly. He was one of the “Ses” boys. I also remember when he went to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. He was recently diagnosed with cancer at the time, but it never dampened his spirit. He brought back each one of his classmates a souvenir from the games! He was always thinking of others! Even though life has taken us on different paths, Andrew was one of those individuals that I thought of from time to time. His smile and his laugh were as genuine as they come… With heartfelt sympathy, Donald Clowater

Our sincerest condolences to Jana, Bailey, Brayden, Ursula, John, John, Vickki, Cindy, and family, Joan Butt and family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Andrew was a man of character who left a memorable impression on each person he met through his journey of life. He was a kind, gentle, respectful, well educated, caring, loving soul. There are many ties and connections that are remembered and are held close to our hearts in regards to the families that were raised in the beautiful community of Sesekinika. The Van Oosten and Grossinger families are an example of this, which continues to display and hold true friendship after so many years. We all were truly blessed to have known such a great hero from a very young age to the outstanding adult he became. Andrew fought a battle that was out of his control but through it all, he maintained his amazing personality and his love and respect for all he knew. A blessed angel who he now in God’s hands looking over us and guiding us to all live the beautiful life he did by treating others with unconditional love and respect. Andrew was a true gift and an absolute pleasure to cross his path. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. We will all keep his treasurable, precious memories close to our hearts where they will never fade. Hope will lift up all those in sorrow and carry them to a place of peace. Farewell our loving friend until we meet again. Lots of Love from: Bernice Grossinger-Bisson, Real & Theresa, Norman, Tammy, Darlene. XOXOXOXOXOXO

To Jana, his precious children, Bailey and Brayden, Ursula and John, and all of Andrew’s family and friends: Please accept my sincere condolences in your loss of a wonderful person. With his perseverance through a lifetime of cancer afflictions and not losing Faith in God, he will truly be joining our Lord God in heaven. He has certainly been a great example, leaving us his Love and memories to comfort us for years to come. I first met Andrew when he joined the Holy Name of Jesus Parish Altar Servers. With his seriousness when needed and jovial fun Loving humour and joking, Andrew was a gift from God to be with. Never a dull moment. To Andrew: Eternal Rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and may Your Perpetual Light shine on him. God bless. Thank you Andrew.

John and Ursula Van Oosten and Family

John … so sorry to hear that Andrew had passed. You must have been very proud of Andrew as I know Mary and I are proud just knowing him and the way he lived his life. He took full advantage of his time on earth marrying and having beautiful children with his wife Jana. We remember Andrew well from the Detachment Children’s Christmas Party’s each year. With all the children running around playing together. It is a beautiful memory. Your family was always very nice to us and we think of you often. I especially enjoyed the times I was able to be on your team at friendly curling bonspiels. Our condolences go to you and Ursula (we still have the Bible we purchased at your store) and Family and all Extended Family. Andrew will always be remembered by our family as well. RIP
