Clayton’s Family

Clayton was certainly a kinda soul. He was one of my fathers best buds back in the day. Clayton was a great down hill skier and was the one who taught me how to ski. I was fortunate enough to have his expertise when we built our house 9 years ago, still hard at it well into his 70’s. From a post earlier “Clayton certainly earned his wing”.
Rest well

Don:
Sincere condolenses to you and your family. The tributes that have been shared by Clayton's many friends is an indication of how much he was respected. He was a close personal friend to Leona and I for many years. We enjoyed our chats over coffee and in recent years phone calls. He was a faithful servant to Holy Name Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He shared his many gifts with all who knew him. Rest In Peace Dear Friend.

Clayton! We weren’t ready to let you go, and I know you felt the same way! It was an honour to know you, and I’m forever grateful for your friendship with Mike. Now you two get down to the first tee on the heavenly golf course- pretty sure Father Des is waiting for you.

Clayton always made sure I got the history of the old "slabtown" right. The early community of mostly Cape Bretoners would use slabs as siding hence the name. At the homecoming in 2019 we talked about when the ore buckets would pass over Burnside Road on the way to Toburn Mill. The occasional piece of muck would fall on a car. A fine gentleman and descendant of one of the original families he will be missed in the old Federal.

Clayton’s family and friends,

I never met Clayton but hardly a day went by that I didn’t hear something about him from my brother Johnny Dodge. Clayton was always there for Johnny doing one kind thing after another to help him out I was left with the impression that Clayton just had to be the nicest and kindest person in Kirkland Lake who will surely be missed by all who knew him and whose lives he touched. With appreciation for a life well lived and sincere sympathy to his family and friends,

Clayton’s Family

We were sorry to hear of Clayton’s passing, he was a great friend of both our families (Meagher’s and Viskovich’s).

Clayton always greeted you with a kind smile but what I admired most was his faith. He had a beautiful faith and it showed in his works of service at church and beyond with family and friends. He will be missed.

Rest In Peace Clayton, hope you’re enjoying some tunes with friends.

I send my sympathies on your loss. Clayton was my teacher when I was going through the R.C.I.A. program at Holy Name of Jesus Parish. I will always remember him as a humble, kind, holy man. He was an inspiration to so many. He has gone to his well deserved reward for all his service to others in need. God bless him and you.
