PORTELANCE, Denis Leo – It is with deep sadness that we announce Denis’ passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the age of 60 with his family at his side. Denis was predeceased by his parents Chrisologue and Rita (née Hamelin) Portelance; his son Phillipe and his brother Joseph Portelance. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Diane (née Germain); his beloved children Melissa (Paul) Lemelin, Leo (Amanda) Portelance, Denise (Brian) Portelance-Barr, Robert (Marlene) Portelance; his precious grandchildren Brook, Sky, Dawn Lessard, Jessica Portelance, Christina Fortier and Krista Matte. Denis is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life in Denis Portelance’s memory will be held on Saturday December 20th starting at 2 PM. All friends are welcomed at 112 Tower Street on the Dunfield side. Denis was a good friend of our family when we were living in Matachewan. He was like our guardian angel. He use to stop by and visit us whenever he could to see how we were all doing. He was always happy and always wanted to help with something. He will be missed by many and I am so sorry for his family.
