RICHER, Ellen B. (nee Young)

In loving memory of Mrs. Ellen Bridgette Richer who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the age of 94. Ellen will be missed by her children Janice Godmaire and Lisa Van Esbroeck (John), 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sisters Karen Holman (Harry) and Kate McDougall.

She was predeceased by her parents Jennie and John Patrick Young, her husband Osias Richer, her son Daniel Richer and her daughter Deborah Hopkins, son-in-law Aurele Godmaire, and siblings Peg, Ivan, Robert, Yvonne, and Jeanette.

Ellen was a loving and caring soul who loved growing her flowers (just not the yellow ones), creating many different crafts, and enjoying family.

The family would like to thank all the neighbours, relatives, friends, and support workers who made it possible for her to stay in the home she loved. A sincere thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Temiskaming Hospital for the care she received.

In keeping with Ellen's wishes, cremation has been arranged with Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative

Janice and Lisa I was shocked to hear of the loss of your sister Deb and then your Mom. I am sure that losing both within a short period of time is going to leave a big void in your lives. Know that the Scott kids Marlyn, Bill and Linda will be thinking of you both at this time and send big hugs loads of love your way. Take care and know that we feel your loss. So glad I got to see Deb and you Janice a few years ago and then also to have seen your Mom when I stopped by in New Liskeard one day. Big hugs!!
