ALLEN, Elmer - On May 2, 2024, we lost a father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Elmer Philip Allen, four weeks short of his 84th birthday . He is predeceased by his wife, Gisèle Allen (née Mongrain).

He will be sadly missed by his children, Marc Allen (Joanne), Angela Allen, Tracey Ficker (Michael) and Paul Allen.

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Ian Allen (Pam), Robin Allen, Bradley Allen, Joshua Ficker (Liz) and Christian Ficker, along with his five great-grandchildren, Marek, Ella, Margot, Bruno and Ben.

He is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Myrtle Allen and siblings, Donald, Howard, Alice (Sally), Meryl and Connie. He is survived by siblings, Phylis, Brian, Gary and Ricky.

Dad was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping and fishing. He also loved Bingo and “winning” at cards. Dad could never say no to lending a hand whatever the job entailed.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. To this end, we would like to invite family and friends to join us for a celebration of dad's life on Saturday June 29 th , 2024, from 1-4 pm at Craig's property in Larder Lake.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Kirkland Hospital for their care of dad.

Rest in peace dad. We love you.

May God give you peace knowing that we all will be reunited with our loved ones for eternity when we are called 'home' to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Your dad is free from his suffering and will continue to love all of you all the days of your life.
Rest in peace Mr. Elmer. Xx

I remember both your parents as dear friends and wonderful people. I remember the card games late into the night and the snowmobile adventures. I am so sorry and truly regret we lost touch when I moved away. I will always remember them as dearly cherished friends. I can still see them in the El Dorado!

And I remember you four, Angela babysitting Bev and Lisa, Tracey and Lisa being best friends and little Paul running around in the kitchen. I remember Marc wasn't much interested in hanging around with us "old folks" so I didn't get to know you well Marc but I remember how very handsome you are.

I am so sorry that Elmer is gone. I wish I had stayed in touch when I had the chance. My heart and prayers are with you. You have my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. Please feel free to stay in touch either with me or through Bev and Lisa.

In this blessed time of sorrow, I would like to share my deepest sympathies. Big hugs all
around, and a smile with all the wonderful memories you all must have.
My memories of your mom and dad meeting us half way to Sudbury so we girls can have some time together in the summer, and the ride never seemed that long! Oh, and don't get toast crumbs in the butter. I never saw your dad angry, and he was always so pleasant, although we did not spend much time together.
So much time has passed, yet it seems like only a few years ago.
May you all be surrounded with loved ones, sharing memories of all the good times. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Much love,
Bev Marsh
