On July 16, 2022 Emery Earl McEwen passed away peacefully at the tender age of 91 with loving family by his side.
Emery was born April 18, 1931 at Lorimer Lake, Ontario. At the age of 9 he lost his Mother and spent the remainder of his childhood working the farm with his Dad. In 1952 Emery married his sweetheart, best friend and love of his life Josie. Together they raised four children and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He worked in the mining industry until he discovered his beloved "Heath and Sherwood" where he spent the rest of his working years "truckin" across Canada. He loved telling stories about his work adventures. He was a very loyal and dedicated employee.
He was a loving husband and great father.He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He had really bad "Dad jokes" that we all still chuckle about. He was always there for a friend in need and ready to help out whenever he could. In his spare time you would quite often find him under the shade tree tinkering with an old car.
Emery was predeceased by his parents Jack and IdaMay (Wye) as well as 7 siblings. He was also predeceased by his loving wife Josephine (McComb). Emery is survived by his children Dianne Fraser (Susan), Janet St.Amant (Andre), Robert (Michelle), Beverly (Brian), his grandchildren Robin Degelman, Tony Dupuis, Nicole (Chris Sheridan), Mathew Dagleman (Tianna), Scott Dupuis, Kyle McEwen, James McNaughton (Tonya), John McNaughton, Jenna McNaughton (Aaron Danis), great grandchildren Jayden, Janessa (Dustyn), Logan, Olivia, Colby, Emily, Jack, Allie, Russel and Hope as well as his great, great grandson Maverick. Emery is also survived by his loved and cherished long time sweetheart Shirley Neldon. He will be missed by many extended family members.

Visitation will be held at Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative (French Family Funeral Home) in Kirkland Lake on Tuesday July 19, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm and again from 7pm tp 9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 20, 2022 at 2pm.
