MACKINNON, Frances

1938 - 2022

With great sadness, the family announces the passing of a wonderful and beautiful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on Wednesday, January 26. Fran will be dearly missed by her children, Gerry (Cindy), Sharon (Keith), Jim (Cindy); grandchildren Jennifer (Craig), D’arcey (Scott), Kelsey (Connor), and Cameron.  Also great-grandchildren, Colton, Leila, and William.

Fran was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), sister Karen, and parents Bertha and Frederick Gorst.

Mom had an unwavering devotion to her family with an infectious smile and personality that left a lasting impression.  Mom’s dedication to exercise was truly inspirational.

Thank you to the staff at Teck Pioneer Residence, especially those caring for mom in her last days.

As per mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fran may be mailed directly to CJKL for their Christmas Wish Program. (P.O. Box 430, Kirkland Lake, ON, P2N 3J4)
