Georgette Harvey (née Cloutier)
January 28, 1934 – June 3, 2025
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Georgette Harvey, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Henry Harvey, she is survived by her siblings André Cloutier, Gertrude Côté, Myra Sloan, and Françoise Lafond. Predeceased by her parents François and Simone Cloutier, her brothers, Denis and Léopold Cloutier, and her sisters Yolande Gauthier and Laurette Nickner.
Georgette was the epitome of grace and warmth. She was known for her selfless nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. A caring and thoughtful mother, her love knew no bounds, and her family was the center of her world. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved, and her home was a place of comfort, joy, and delicious baking and meals.
Her love for her grandchildren was unmatched. Georgette’s eyes would light up every time she saw them, and she took great pride in nurturing their lives with wisdom, love, and countless memories of laughter.
A talented cook, Georgette’s kitchen was where she truly shined, always creating meals with love, passion, and the finest ingredients. Her dishes, often shared at family gatherings, will be missed as much as her presence.
Georgette's legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She was the soul of our family, and her spirit will continue to guide us through every day.
She is survived by her children: Diane (Daniel Roy), Jocelyne (Robert Théroux), Normand (Kim), Hélène (Don Studholme), Francine (Dean Archer), Pierre (Jennifer), Caroline (Steven Allen) her grandchildren: Marie-Josée, Martin, Stéfanie, Joshua, Jonathan, Eric, Julie, Alexandra, Emma, Nicholas, Allyson, Gabriel, Kenadie, and seven great-grandchildren and many dear friends who were touched by her light.
A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7th at the Paroisse Assomption. Family will accept condolences at the church as of 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation (mycharityfund.ca) can be made to Paroisse Assomption of Kirkland Lake.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès paisible de Georgette Harvey, notre chère maman, grand-mère, arrière-grand-mère, sœur et amie, à l’âge de 91 ans.
Georgette était l’épouse bien-aimée de feu Henry Harvey, et une femme dont la grâce, la chaleur et la gentillesse ont marqué une vie admirablement remplie.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Diane (Daniel Roy), Jocelyne (Robert Théroux), Normand (Kim), Hélène (Don Studholme), Francine (Dean Archer), Pierre (Jennifer) et Caroline (Steven Allen) ses petits-enfants: Marie-Josée, Martin, Stéfanie, Joshua, Jonathan, Eric, Julie, Alexandra, Emma, Nicholas, Allyson, Gabriel, Kenadie, ainsi que ses sept arrière-petits-enfants.
Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses frères et sœurs: André Cloutier, Gertrude Côté, Myra Sloan et Françoise Lafond. Elle est prédécédée par ses parents, François et Simone Cloutier, ses frères Denis et Léopold Cloutier ainsi que ses sœurs Yolande Gauthier et Laurette Nickner.
Le foyer de Georgette était un lieu de paix et d’amour. Âme accueillante, elle recevait chacun avec chaleur, tendresse et souvent un délicieux repas fait maison. Son talent culinaire était légendaire, et ses recettes préparées avec amour resteront à jamais gravées dans le cœur de sa famille.
Ses petits-enfants étaient sa fierté et leur présence illuminait son regard.
Plus que tout, Georgette était le cœur de notre famille, une présence constante et bienveillante, dont la bonté et la générosité ont touché tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de la connaître. Son héritage vivra dans les nombreuses vies qu’elle a marquées par sa force tranquille et son amour infini.
Une messe de funérailles sera célébrée le samedi 7 juin à 11 heures à l’église Assomption de Kirkland Lake. La famille recevra vos condoléances à l’église à partir de 10 heures.
Un don (mycharityfund.ca) en sa mémoire à la Paroisse Assomption de Kirkland Lake serait apprécié.
La famille tient à remercier sincèrement Tara Laframboise et Véronique Charron, ainsi que leurs équipes pour leur soutien. Un gros merci au Dr Brian McPherson et aux infirmières dévouées de l’unité de soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital Blanche River.
