TUBMAN, Grace

Passed away in her 92nd year at Temiskaming Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Irwin Tubman, her parents Harry/Henry and Maude Johnston and siblings Jean Godden (Joe), Laura Johnston, Robert (Kathaleen), Gladys Olmstead (Reg)and Ruth (Irvine). Grace is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Grace was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 70 years participating in many local fundraising community projects. She was dedicated to working diligently at whatever task set before her including running a farm and retail work. She took great pride in her love of knitting, sewing, quilting, and baking. She took many ribbons when she entered her projects into local fairs and bazaars.

Many thanks to the caring staff of the Northdale Manor and to the doctors and nursing staff who tended to her needs while under their care at the Temiskaming Hospital.

Internment services will be in the spring.
