We were very saddened to learn of “Dougie’s” death. He was a long-time friend of my mother’s family, the Sullivans. I enjoyed my visit with him when I took some old photographs over to his house a few years ago; he remembered all of the people in them – some 70 years ago – and I got a real “kick” out of his reminiscenses! I will always remember him as a sweet and gentle man. My sympathies to the family. Laurie
