PASCOE, John

1949 - 2022

It is with great sadness we share the news of John’s passing at the Teck Pioneer Residence on August 6, 2022.

John was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Hilda Pascoe and his beloved wife, Jackie, nee Webster. He is survived by his five sisters and their husbands, Betty and Jim Birch, Pat and Jim Bell, his twin sister Susan and Peter Gray, Pamela and Jim Frayne, and Cathy and Peter Gray. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Claire, Jamie, Mike, Gwen, Loretta, Rita, Trish, Shawna, Brent and Christopher, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He leaves his adored great-great niece, Vivian Peters, with whom he shared a special bond.

John worked for 30 years as a PSW at Extendicare, and gave much of his time to volunteer work with Palliative Care. He was a member of the choir at Holy Name Church and Interlink. He loved to sing.

A special thank you to the amazing staff at Teck Pioneer Residence, who took such good care of John, and to the staff at Englehart site of Blanche River Health where John was cared for until he entered TPR.

As per John’s wishes there will be no funeral service and a cremation will take place. We will have a grave side service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be mailed to the Teck Pioneer Residence (145A Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4).

Although not shocked i was saddened to hear of Johns passing. He has had a very rough time of it with his diabetic since his retirement and is now free of all his pain and suffering. John was a very dear friend of my husband and i and we have had many good laughs through the years. We worked many years together and it was always a blast working with John as he had a personality like no other. My husband was Johns best man when John married Jackie. Go in peace my friend because i will certainly miss you. Maybe you will run into Willie up there and the two of you can camp it up. Love you. Gloria.

I am saddened to hear of John's passing. During my year at TPR I was able to spend time with John and I got to know a sensitive and gentle man. He would sing little jingles which would give us all a laugh. My condolences to Betty and all of the family. May John's soul rest in peace. JHM.

So sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. His journey accompanied Mom's through Blanche River Health to the TPR, and she was always grateful for his positive energy & moral support...he had a smile always at the ready, when he was the "greeter" in the TPR foyer.
May his memories be a blessing to you all.
