WEBB, John A.

1937 - 2021

John Albert Webb was born on April 4th, 1937, to Gwen (née Edwards) and Norman Webb in New Liskeard. John was one of 7 children who’s early days were spent at the family homestead/farm east of Earlton. The family moved to Englehart in 1944 where John attended Englehart Public and High Schools.

In 1961, John met the love of his life, Ruth Mary Wilson and they wed on June 16th, 1962. Their early days were spent in North Bay and they then made Englehart their home with their 3 sons.

John was dedicated family man who worked for 37 years with Ontario Northland Railway to help provide for his family, while selling products from NutroBio, Familex, and Rawlieghs throughout Temiskaming. Ruth and John worked together to build and live in 10 homes in Englehart. John and Ruth have spent their retirement years travelling for visits with their family across Canada and actively giving their time to support their community.

John loved to putter around their two properties. John was often seen cleaning snow off their roofs in the winter and keeping his grass at just the right height during the summer.

John will be greatly missed by Ruth, his children; Ken and wife Connie, Dwight and wife JJ and Allen and wife Tracy, his 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Emiley, Danielle, John, Julianna and Elle-Jay (and their 4 pawed friends).
