With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Kent John Tennant on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Kirkland & District Hospital with his longtime soul mate of 35 years Grace Renaud and his daughter Star Bolger at his side. Kent was predeceased by his parents Bob and Shirley Tennant (née Ringrose), his brother Robert Tennant, his son in law Dean Bolger and his beloved aunt Jean Hanson. Kent will forever be remembered by his loving soul mate Grace; his daughter Kim Leonard Chouinard (Jim); his grandchildren Jenna and Josh of North Carolina, USA; also by his loving stepchildren Star Bolger of Kirkland Lake, Natalie Huesmann of British Columbia, Heinz (Loriane) Huesmann of South River, Louise Trottier of Kirkland Lake and his beloved granddaughters Stephanie and Brook Steel and grandsons Steven Bolger and Jeff Bolger (Christine). Kent is also survived by his sister in law Emily Tennant and her children Jackie and Ethan; his nieces Sherry (David) Fraser, Sierra and his nephew Robbie Tennant. Kent will also be missed by his very close and dear cousins Carl (Sandy) Hanson and Scotty; Jerri Hanson (Gary), Anna Hanson and Donna Hanson. Kent was dearly loved by his brother and sister in law Debra (Eddie) Renaud and their families; Jim (Elizabeth) Aldred and their families as well as numerous other family members. The family will welcome friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3L1) on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. with Richard Renaud offering musical tributes and Father Mitch Sliwa officiating. Donations in Kent’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (2300 Yonge Street, Suite 1300, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4). Dear Grace Accept my sincere condolences. Kent was my first cousin. His mother Shirley and my mother were sisters. I had the privalege of living with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Shirley during my senior year at KLCVI. Both Robert and Kent were quite young but we had a lot of fun. With family you will heal and remember all the good times that you had in 35 yrs. I do remember Donna Hanson. You have my e-mail and if you want I will stay in touch. Gary

In the times we had at the park over many pots of java and old time movies .,… . the lil tractor rides around the park singing many a song …… laughter and love is memory of the famed “Paw Kent” to many whom only knew him a minute , while the rest of us knew him a life time … I can not think of Kent with out his laughter that always out shone his pain . …. . .
