It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of our Mom Lorraine Anne MacDonald (nee Rivett) at Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on December 7, 2023, at the age of 83 years.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 2014. She was also predeceased by her parents Henry and Evelyn Rivett and her siblings Leona, Norma, Mervin and Arnold.
She is survived by her children Robert (Ursula), Rodney (Kimberley) and Cheryl (Stig) and granddaughter Anastasia/Stacy. She is also survived by siblings Vivian, Ted and Helen.
Born in Matheson, Ontario Lorraine resided in Kirkland Lake for most of her life. Mom was a Registered Nursing Assistant (RNA) and had a love and affinity for working with older people.
She was a skilled craftswoman and excelled at knitting, sewing and quilting and was an amazing baker of pies, tarts and cookies. She was also an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jordan at Blanche River Health and health care teams. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

So very sorry on the loss of your mother.
I remember babysitting all of you one summer as you were our neighbours.
I would see your mom off and in church over the years, such a nice lady.
When my husband and I returned to KL we bought the house on the property that had once had your home.
