It is with deep sorrow that we announce Matthew’s passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2008 with his family at his side. He leaves to mourn his loving and caring wife Leona (née Dumouchel); his beloved children Robert and Maureen (husband Richard) Robitaille all of Kirkland Lake. Matthew is sadly missed by his grandchildren Shawn, Stacey and Megan; brother Jim (Ira) Warner of Wales; nieces Lorraine (Nick) Zapotochny of Timmins; Cindy (Mark) Goudreault of Sudbury; cherished great nephews Nicholas and Jordan. Matthew is predeceased by his parents Henry and Agnes (née Clayton) Warner; his brother-in-law David Whittaker and sister-in-law Lou Whittaker. The family will receive relatives and friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, On., P2N 3L1) on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the “Teck-Hughes Chapel” of the Monette & French Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with The Father R. Lapalme officiating. Donations in Matt’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation (145 Government Road East, P.O. Box 3000, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3P4 Attn: Mary Ranta).
