1946 - 2022

On July 7, 2022, Noella Jessop of Kirkland Lake passed away at Timmins District Hospital at the age of 75 years.

 Noella is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Craig Jessop of Kirkland Lake. Her children, Jeanine (Josh), Lisa (Peter). She is predeceased by her son, Jason, her siblings Robert Norman and Bella Modeste (Victor). She has 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 

 Noella was born on December 24, 1946 to William and Rachel Norman in Aklavik, NWT.

She attended school in Arctic Red River. She went to the residential school in Inuvik during her teenage years. She attended University Alberta where she studied Library science. She enjoyed being a librarian in her earlier years and loved reading books throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and many other adventures, like fishing and camping. She was very talented with her hands and enjoyed sewing and ceramics. 

 When Noella returned to Tsiigetchic (Arctic Red River) she met her husband Craig, who was working on the Mackenzie River for the Dept. of Fishery. She lived there and Winnipeg for several years while Craig worked for MNR. She then moved to Ontario and lived in many towns for her remaining years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children and husband.

 Her Celebration Of Life will be July 7, 2023 at The Fed in Kirkland Lake 7-9pm.
