MORIN, NONA ESTELLE (nee Taylor) – – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Nona at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Thursday, April 12, 2007 in her 74th year. Forever loved by her dear husband of 58 years, William Gordon Morin. Dear mother of Janet Walters & her husband Jim of Orillia, Larry Taylor of Sudbury, Robert Morin & his wife Debbie of Timmins and Terry Morin & his wife Pirkko of Onaping (Sudbury). Sadly missed by her brother Mario (Speed) Taylor & his wife Helen of Edmonton, Alberta. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Stan & Blanch (nee Miron) Taylor, her beloved son William (Buddy) Morin and her sister & best friend Olga Antonucci and her husband John. Born in Larder Lake on September 28, 1933, Nona was a town councillor there for 8 years as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch No. 293 for 33 years. She loved to crochet, play bingo and paint landscape scenery. Nona was well known for her great laugh and sense of humour. In respect of Nona’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A private family ceremony will be held in Nona’s honour at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (38 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, P2N 2E2) and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
