It is with deep sadness that we announce Norm’s passing at the Englehart & District Hospital on Wednesday February 17, 2021, with his wife and daughter Renée by his side.Norm was a salesman in the grocery industry where he made numerous contacts with people in Northwestern Quebec and Northeastern Ontario.  He was an active member of the ACT, past president of Club Richelieu where he was an active member for 25 years. An avid fisherman, he loved his cottage at Lake Sesekinika. He had a passion for traveling at home and abroad. He especially loved his trips to BC to visit his daughter Nicole and family. He enjoyed the Williams Lake Stampede known to Norm as the “Jamboree”.Norm was predeceased by his parents Olard and Lucienne (Bélanger) Bougie and sister in-law Lilliane Bougie.Norm is survived and deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Constance “Connie” Bougie (née Leroux); his daughter Nicole (Steve) Ratko grandsons Ethan and Samuel, of BC; daughter Renée (Derek) Croxall, grandsons Kaleb and Jacob of Kirkland Lake, his brother Marcel of Timmins and his dear sister Claudette (Stan) Mason of Kirkland Lake. Norm will also be missed by many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and numerous friends.The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at both Englehart and Kirkland Lake hospitals for the kind and gentle care provided to Norm during his stay. You all made a difference knowing he was in good hands. Your kindness will never be forgotten.Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from Paroisse Assomption, 50 Kirkpatrick Street, Kirkland Lake, ON.Donations in Norm’s memory may be made to Paroisse Assomption (50 Kirkpatrick Street, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 2H3), Kirkland & District Hospital (145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4, Temiskaming Palliative Care (c/o Betty Smallwood, 145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4 or to the charity of your choice.A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced.Offer Condolence for the family of Norman Jean-Paul Bougie (1935-2021)
