POLYBLANK, Paul

In loving memory of Paul Polyblank who passed away peacefully at the Kirkland Lake District Hospital, surrounded by family, Tuesday, August 1^st, 2023 at the age of 66.

Paul was predeceased by his father Jack Polyblank as well as his brother Scott Polyblank. He is survived by his mother, Gwen Polyblank , his brother Steven Polyblank ( Sue) and his loving devoted partner Lucy Kalnins.

Paul will also be remembered by his children , Danielle and Chad,  his nephews , Shane, Steven Jr and Drew.  He will be sadly missed by his step-children Joe (Sarah) Amy and Kimberly ( Terence) as well as his grandchildren.

Paul retired from the Miller Group where he enjoyed many hours spent on highway maintenance in the Kirkland Lake area.

Paul was an avid fisherman and spent most of his free time fishing the Blanche River with his loved ones. He also took a lot of pride in spending quality time with his family and friends.

A special thank you to the amazing palliative staff at the Kirkland Lake District Hospital , Dr Kurki , Tara Laframboise and the VON staff for their wonderful care and compassion.

As per Paul’s wishes, there will be no service and cremation will be taking place.

Paul’s loved ones

I knew Paul as a young person working at The Dominion Store. His happy soul was evident and it was always so nice to interact with him.
I met him more recently and saw that same sweet soul. I have no doubt that sweet soul will be missed by many. For one, another good man who was a good friend to Paul, Rob has lost a good buddy. I’m sorry for his loss for all who will miss him in their lives.

Uncle paul

Uncle paul, I miss you so so much, just as much as dad. When dad passed, you were never the same after that. You guys were brothers and best friends. You were always my favourite uncle out of any of them, on both sides of the family. I loved spending time with you , going fishing, etc. You were just like dad. Super funny, and always making sure I was OK and had everything I needed. Very generous. After dad passed you were the closest thing to him. Sometimes it felt like I was with him again when I was with you. Made me feel really good. I miss your little quirks and jokes. Your voice. Everything. I don't know if you really knew how much I loved you . Anyways, I'll never be the same after losing dad then you. Love you with all my heart man, can't wait to go fishing with you and dad again.
