The family

Dr. Fielder was an incredible man and one of the best doctors I have ever met. I worked with him for several years in Cameron and will never forget how knowledgeable and caring he was. He encouraged me to join the navy for the benefits and to return to nursing school. I told him I didn’t want to be forced to wake up early and exercise so the military wasn’t for me but I did take his advice on the latter and it has been one of the best life changing decisions I’ve ever made. He once performed a minor day surgery on my hand at a nurses station. And another time I had a terrible earache where I had seen several doctors and couldn’t get any pain relief. Dr Fielder prescribed me toradol and an antibiotic. I was pain free in minutes!!!! And he didn’t even charge me anything for being seen. I think of him often and think how unfair life can be that he’s no longer here. I can’t imagine how terrible it was to watch him decline with Alzheimer’s. He had a brilliant mind and such compassion for people. I do find some peace knowing he’s at rest. I love you Dr Fielder! The world was truly a better place with you in it. Rest easy my friend. ️‍
