PORTER, Roberta

Roberta was taken to God while at Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake on Thursday July 7, 2022.  Roberta Louise (Veidenheimer) Porter, in her 77th year, was the beloved wife of David Porter and will remain in his heart always.  She was the loving mother of Sarah Duncan and her husband Peter of Echo Lake, N.S., Lisa Ingram and her husband John of Kirkland Lake, and Christina Zanella and her partner Tom of Port Dover, and the loving aunt of Jennifer deWaard, and grand-nieces Farah and Priscilla.  She was the dear sister of Valerie Hogg and the late Bobby Veidenheimer and loved daughter of the late Helen and Robert Veidenheimer.  Roberta was a loving, caring and strong woman who always put others first, and will be missed by all including her dear friend Carol and Carol's children Leanne and David, grandson Sebastian, and nieces and nephews Kelly, Steven, Linda, Paul, Debbie, Ted, Kim, Crystal and Bob, and extended family Samantha, Bill, and Kevin.  We all love you so much and will miss you every day, but are at peace knowing you are now with God. 

Thank you so very much to all those who provided such wonderful care for her at Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake and Health Sciences North in Sudbury. 

Visitation will be held at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative – Kirkland Lake Site (formerly French Family Funeral Home) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Anyone who knew Roberta or her family are welcome during this time. At the request of the family and for the safety of all those who will be attending, we ask that anyone attending the visitation or the Funeral Service wear a mask.

The Requiem Mass will be held at the Holy Name of Jesus, Roman Catholic Church, Kirkland Lake on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend, joining the family directly at the Church. Following Mass, Roberta will be laid to eternal rest at Kirkland Lake Cemetery.
