Renaud, Sylvia

RENAUD, Sylvia

1962 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sylvia Renaud, who left us peacefully at home on May 29, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by the love of her family and friends—just as she wished.

Born on October 20, 1962, Sylvia grew up in Englehart, Ontario, and later made her home in Kirkland Lake. Deeply devoted to her family, Sylvia was known for her generous spirit, vibrant energy, and unwavering love for those closest to her.

She is predeceased by her beloved father Roy, her brother Blake and wife Teresa Baker, brother-in-law Hugh Rodgers, and her cherished granddaughter, Paige Renaud-Breen.

She is survived by her loving mother Sally, her spouse Richard Limoges, her sister Corinne and her brother Vaughn.

Sylvia’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, Candace and her grandchildren, Payton and Preston who were the light of her life. She also adored her nieces and nephews: Zak, Yvonne, Emilia, Addison, Stephanie, Avery Renaud, Cameron Sampson, Hannah, Ruby and Andrew who loved spending time with her. Known fondly as “Auntie Sylvia” to many more, her warmth and playful heart made her a second mom to countless children over the years.
Her joyful presence will be missed deeply by her dear friend Bernadine Cozac, and all her Bingo Buddies, especially her Best Friend and Bingo partner, Sue Schraeder. When she wasn’t chasing the next big win at Bingo, you could find her at her happy place—Raven Beach Park—where she spent every camping season since childhood. Sylvia found peace and joy sitting on her deck, overlooking the breathtaking beauty of Larder Lake.

Sylvia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, love, and strength leave an everlasting legacy.

A Celebration of Life will be held in summer 2026. More details will be shared with family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sylvia’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
