With sad hearts, the family of Verda (Morrow) announces her passing on September 6th, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Verda is predeceased by her loving husband Henry.

 She was a mother and mother-in-law to sons Garry (Julie), Mark (Brenda), Steve (Louise).

 Her hugs, smiles and laughter will be missed by her grandchildren, Jared, Emilia(Shawn), Drew (Erica),Adele, Andy, Keith and Kayli(Brian) and her great grandchildren Alexia, Dana, Harmony, Kylie, Owen, Reed, Trinity, Vaughn and Zakody.

 Verda worked at Northern Telephone for over 40 years. She retired in 1995. Verda and her friend Madeline Smith were inducted into the Canadian Telecommunications Hall of Fame Laureate Awards on October 17, 2005. They accepted an award on behalf of tens of thousands of telephone operators across Canada, recognized for their tireless efforts, dedication and heroism displayed over a century.

 Each summer Verda would move out to Bartle Lake to the cottage where family and friends were always welcome. We will always remember the laughter, games, hard work and visits. It was her favorite place.

 As per Verda’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private familyservice.

 The family wishes to send special thanks to all her friends and caregivers at Northdale Manor and if you wish, any donations to Northdale Manor (130 Lakeshore Rd, New Liskeard Ontario) or Temiskaming Hospital Care Close to Home campaign will be gratefully acknowledged.

To The Boys and their Families

Man we had some fun times! I’m gonna miss her fun loving attitude and her infectious laugh/giggle!
The times we spent with her and Mom on Niven were precious to them and to our family. It was such a special relationship they had. I think they enjoyed every minute! Rest assured they are together again, bugging our fathers, and enjoying a beer together! She loved to talk about her family ( especially grand kids) and her spirit will live on through you.
