Waltraud “Trudy” Zivkovic,

WALTRAUD “TRUDY” ZIVKOVIC,

2021

ZIVKOVIC, Waltraud (Trudy): It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Trudy at the Kirkland Lake and District Hospital on Wednesday, June 26, at the age of 87, with her family by her side. Trudy is survived by her husband Robert of 57 years and her 3 children Yvonne (Chris) Robson of Nottingham, England, Andy (Nina) Hoyt of Sudbury, David (Fiona) Zivkovic of Nepean and her five devoted grandchildren, Chris, Ian, Sarah, Cameron and Jacob. She is also survived by five siblings and many nieces and nephews. Trudy was born in Czechoslovakia on May 9, 1932 and grew up in Germany with her 12 brothers and sisters. She immigrated first to England, and then to Canada in 1958. Trudy cherished her many friends, who, like her family, were loved unconditionally. She worked at Northern College for 25 years. Among her many passions cooking, reading and sewing were her favourites. In keeping with Trudy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to give a sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses at the Kirkland Lake and District Hospital, for their loving care and compassion, and, in particular, to Betty Smallwood and her devoted team of staff and volunteers. We would also like to thank the Ottawa Heart Institute for their dedicated support and care over the last 5 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Kirkland Lake District Hospital (145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4) would be appreciated.Offer Condolence for the family of Waltraud “Trudy” Zivkovic

Dave and Family, So sorry for your loss… Your sweet Mom had a heart of gold, with smiles and hugs to match, and more love in her everyday than most people will know in a lifetime. I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that she touched so many and was loved so much. She will live on in all of you and in all those she encountered. May you find peace in knowing she has also found peace. Sincere condolences, …lisa prokopich
