I met Wanda at Central School back in the 1970s. I remember thinking I would have to watch my p's and q's as she seemed to have a very solemn demeanor. Was I wrong. Wanda had such a great sense of humor, always coming back at me with quick wit and a grin. I so enjoyed our comradery. My mother lived at Extendicare for 12 years so I made sure I touched base with Wanda when I was there. She said it was the highlight of her month when she'd see our line dance group on the schedule. Wanda always sat front and center as she told me she just loved the old country music we used and enjoyed being able to sing along.
I offer my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother.

The family

My condolences to all of you. I have many fond memories of Mrs. C growing up. She will surely be missed. My kids have missed going to visit her at extendicare this past year. She made quite the impression on them just as she did me.

The family of Wanda Cochrane

I first met Wanda when I was a kid in Ft. Frances. She was a nurse who looked after my mom following surgery. Wanda became a friend and visited while she lived in the Fort. After Wanda moved to Kirkland Lake, we moved to Kapuskasing and Wanda visited us there. After my mom passed away, Wanda and I maintained a friendship mostly by telephone and letters and cards. She spoke to me often about her girls and her grandchildren. Finally she is resting peacefully. My condolences to her family.
