October 29th 1945 - March 28th 2022
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Mr. William (Bill) DeVries, at the age of 76 years young. Bill is predeceased by his parents Con and Irene DeVries. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn DeVries, son Rodney (Tasana), daughter Melanie (Thomas), grandchildren Jordan (Allison), Jillian (Alex), Devon (Kaylie), Thaila and Tylor. Poppa will be greatly missed by his great grandchildren, Harvey, Basil, Billy, Elsie, AJ and Audrey. Bill was a loving brother, survived by his siblings Cathy, Bryan (Eleanor), Ken (Leona), and Sharon (Rod). He was a loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill passed suddenly at home, on the farm. He will be forever remembered as a hard working, helping hand. He wore many hats; husband, father, Poppa, brother, friend, lifetime Lions Club Member and part of the Englehart Foodbank, to name a few. As per Bill’s wishes there will not be a funeral service, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
