In Loving Memory of William "Billy" Clark

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Clark, who left us unexpectedly at his home on February 5, 2024. He was 69 years old. Billy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Predeceased by his parents Irene McKay and Tex Clark and his brother Jim Clark. He is forever remembered by his wife Ruth (née Young); his brother Richard Clark McKay and his wife Kim, his daughter Jennifer, his son Colin (and grandson), his uncle Angus Bernie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Billy was a dedicated and hardworking individual throughout his life. He embraced each day with a strong work ethic, always striving for excellence in everything he did. His unwavering determination and commitment were truly commendable.

One of Billy's greatest joys in life was spending time at the cottage and immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors. His love for the cottage became a sanctuary where he created countless cherished memories with family and friends. Known for his kind and generous nature, Billy was always ready to lend a helping hand to his friends.

Billy's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a reliable friend, and a compassionate soul. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all of us.

Donations in Billy’s memory may be made to the Thrombosis Society of Canada (https://thrombosiscanada.ca 128 Halls Road, Whitby, ON L1P 1Y8)

Bill's family

On behalf of the Armstrong Familt I extend my very most sincere condolences on Bill's death. He was a man who grew up with my wife Billie-Jean like brother and sister. They often reminisced about their earlier days at their cottages. The Ckark-Boyd-Armstrong families were intertwined during the past many years. A great loss to the Kenogami Lake community. May they still be a family wherever and whenever they meet again. I will miss you Bill.

My condolences Ruth.
I had the good fortune to be able to call Bill a friend. I first met Bill when I was building my cottage, but really didn't get to know him better until I moved up here during the covid pandemic. Bill and I became friends. He would come around to see how I was doing and provide advice on how to do things. As a mechanic he was especially good at getting stubborn motors working. He was a go to person who helped me out with my outboard motors and ATV.
Bill took a liking to my Grandson Jakob, giving him tips on fishing. Bill gifted Jakob a fly-rod and a tackle box of hand-tied flies he had made, and gave him lessons on how to cast. When Jakob became an apprentice hunter this past year, Bill presented him with a hunting knife. I am sure Jakob will treasure these generous gifts in the years to come. As for me, Bill will be missed. He was a friend.

Ruth and Clark family, please accept our sympathies. Over the years Billy fixed a mine hoist for me, rebuilt an outboard motor, numerous lawnmowers and repaired a truck engine for my plumber. There wasn't anything mechanical that he couldn't fix. I'm going to miss those chats on his front porch at Kenogami. RIP old buddy.

Ruth and Clark Family

I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Unlike others who knew Bill for years, I only met Bill a few years ago when he offered to help winterize our boat. Despite medical complications, he did what he could for us. Over the past few years, he was amazing at touching base and helping out when needed. He was a genuine, quality individual. Will always reference his old place on Kenogami as Clark Island.

Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked with Bill for a few years was fun to work with. I know he loved fishing and did a little hunting. He also liked diving and I was working at the Adam’s mine when his dad lost his life diving. Wish the family the best.
