THOMPSON, Denise

1921 - 2023

Denise Thompson of Kirkland Lake, passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 101.

Denise was predeceased by her husband George “Blythe” Thompson, parents Henry & Blanche Rheault and many members of her family.

She will be missed by her friends Theresa (Nick) Sangiuliano, Judy Gervais and Judy Zwanko as well as her extended family across Canada.

Family and friends can pay their respects to Denise at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative (Kirkland Lake) on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Name of Jesus Parish at 12:00 p.m. Denise will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.

Donation in Denise’s memory may be made by mailing a cheque to either of the following organizations at (39 Kirkland St. Kirkland Lake, ON. P2N 2G3). Holy Name of Jesus Parish or Catholic Women’s League of Holy Name of Jesus Parish.

A special thank you to Melissa Frade and Kathy Kong of Closing the Gap and the nurses from the 4th Floor at Blanche River Health – KL Site for all the care shown to Denise. You were her Angels. To Fr. Justin Dawson for all his visits with Denise at home and at the Hospital.

Will truly miss all our visits together, she was one Special Lady. She loved my muffins and little surprises I used to bring to her on my visits. On May 20th she would have been 102, she used to say to me, "Am I the oldest" yup you are Denise. RIP my Friend will miss ya xo
