Ellen Elizabeth Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away after a battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Ellen was born September 11, 1955 in Calgary, Alberta to Clara Rommel and Wilfred Desjardins. When Ellen was a girl, her family moved from Alberta to Red Lake Ontario where she was later introduced to her husband. They were married in 1984 and transferred to Elk Lake Ontario in 1986 before moving to Dobie Ontario in 1996.
She was predeceased by both of her parents and her sister Rikki Schock. Ellen is survived by her daughter Jessica (Steven) and 2 grandchildren Scott and Jillian, and her husband Bill. She is also survived by 4 siblings Wayne (Shirley), Joanne (Robert), Irene (Rene) and Tommy as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ellen loved animals of all kinds; she was well known to have a pocket full of dog biscuits whenever she was outside.
In keeping with Ellen’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
