So shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. With you and I being 5 years younger, John always seemed to be a giant of a man with his basketball prowess, quick wit and razor-sharp mind. You had to intellectually be on your game to survive a visit to the Paavola home on O'Meara. Let's also not forget the tall, blonde Finnish good looks as well! KL has lost another good one and the world is lesser for it. Ray, you have my most sincere condolences. Take care, good buddy.

We extend our sincere condolences on the loss of John. John and a group of us would spend many hours at the Pagoda Restaurant sharing stories. Recently, we reconnected and he talked about his passion as a trainer for your hockey team and his encounter with a couple of bears while picking blueberries. He was very kind and funny as hell.

Sorry to hear of the passing of John, my deepest condolences. He was a beloved family friend, and I am so glad we got him out for some St. Paddy's drinks this past March! Will miss his sense of humour and chats xo

So sorry to hear of John's passing.
Seen him a couple times after high school but my fondest memories of him are from our high school basketball trips and games.
Rest In Peace John

This is a little late. I knew John from Lakehead University G-House. He was my best friend at the school. He was always entertaining, full of wit and humour. John was one of the Good Guys.
