MYRNA MARGARET (BUMSTEAD) BREAULT

March 24, 1937 – October 1, 2022

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the death of their Mother Myrna Margaret (Bumstead) Breault at the age of 85. Myrna was born on March 24, 1937, at Hudson Twp., to the late May (Ames) and John Bumstead.

She was predeceased by her husband John Breault, son Larry and granddaughter Melissa.

She is survived by her children Linda (Bryan) Almers, Janice (Dan) Dawson, Jeff (Bella) Breault and John (Carol) Breault. Loving remembered by her grandchildren Chad, Matt, Larry Jr., Jason, Michelle, Tammy, Tim, Jamie, Adam, Melany, Ryan and Trevor, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Also left to mourn are her sisters Sherron (Doug) Caverly, Marion (Gary) Taylor, daughter-in-law Nancy Breault, sister-in-law Marielle Maguire and brother-in-law Phil Breault.

Mother was a lifetime resident of New Liskeard, except for a brief approximate two years spent in the South Porcupine area.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a loving generous person to all who knew her. A happy person, she relished her time spent with family and numerous friends. She was lucky enough in her life to see five generations of family at her side.

A visit to Mother's home usually meant you could enjoy a bowl of her wonderful homemade soup as well as her baked goodies.

Mother worked much of her life. In the earlier years she worked at Breault's Restaurant and then retail stores in the area. She worked in the clerical field for a few years before retiring.

She enjoyed travelling, especially scenic drives in the country. Visiting and reading about historical sites and museums was an immense pleasure to her. Other that kept her busy were knitting and crocheting and she made many interests of mittens for us and her grandchildren.

A fishing enthusiast, she rarely turned down an invitation for a fishing outing, even if only for the boat ride.

'Myrna,' Gaelic for beloved, tender, protective, hardworking, happy, and sensitive. All these descriptors applied to our mother. Mother will be sadly missed by all and our wish for you is that you enjoy peace and tranquility on this next journey.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Temiskaming Lodge for the excellent care during her brief time with them. As one of the staff said, “She was a ray of sunshine.”

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place.

Memorial donations in memory of Myrna may be made to a charity of your choice.
