It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Roger
Lorenzo Verrier, who passed at the age of 63 at Blanche River Health in
Kirkland Lake on February 27, 2025.
Roger is predeceased by his parents Valeda Lachance and Fernand
Verrier. Roger leaves to mourn his children Francois and Jessica Verrier, as well as his grandchildren Mason and Miia Verrier.
Roger was an amazing father. He was always there for his children and
grandchildren. He showed the real sacrifice of a father. No matter the
challenges in life, he always found solutions. His favorite hobbies were
playing chess and he had passion for cooking. Roger worked as a miner for several mines throughout his career, including Kirkland Lake Gold most recently. He was a hard worker, and dedicated to everyone who was close to him.
As per his request, cremation has taken place and a Funeral Service will be held at Coop funéraire de l’Abitibi in Val-d’Or at a later date.
Donations in Roger’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
Même si on ne se voyait pas beaucoup, j'étais contente de vous voir quand vous passer cher grand-maman. Tu vas me manquer mon oncle Roger. C'est une triste nouvelle d'apprendre ton départ. Repose en paix et veille sur nous. On t'aime fort mon oncle Roger!!!
