WILSON, Paul K.

1964 - 2025

                                       Paul Kenneth Wilson

                                               1964-2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Kenneth Wilson. Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a remarkable man whose love, generosity, and spirit touched all who knew him.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman who found deep peace in nature. He spent countless hours fishing, hunting, and sharing his vast knowledge with others. His passion for the outdoors was matched only by his enthusiasm for life and his willingness to teach and inspire those around him.

A true car enthusiast, Paul had the joy of owning many of his dream vehicles. He took great pride in them and never missed an opportunity to take someone for a ride, sharing stories and excitement with every turn of the key.

For many years, Paul was the proud owner of Wilderness Calling Cottages, where he built not only a successful business but also a close-knit, welcoming community. Surrounded by friends, family, and guests who came to admire and respect him, Paul created a space where memories were made and connections grew.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Cecile and Kenneth Wilson, and by his beloved wife, Elaine, with whom he shared many happy and cherished years.

He is survived by his loving fiancé, Melanie (Lori) Hotti, who stood steadfastly by his side throughout his long health journey. Her love and care brought comfort, joy, and light into his life in recent years. Respected, loved and forever missed by his stepsons Jamie, Nathan and Carter.

Paul will be deeply missed by his siblings: Betty (Predeceased, Leo (Predeceased), Georgette (Roger), Joan (Jimmy), Herbie (Colleen), Marcel (Sandra), Dianne (Noel), Irene (Barry), Claire (Vic), Yvonne (Noel), Ronny (Donna), and Kathy (Doug). He also held a special place in his heart for his godchildren, Emilie, Jack, and many nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind countless friends, all of whom he cherished. Among them, a very special friend, Julien, who was like a son to Paul. Their extraordinary friendship spanned many years, full of laughter, support, and shared experiences. Julien was a constant presence through the highs and lows, and his loyalty and care meant the world to Paul.

As per Paul’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family will arrange a memorial gathering at a later date to celebrate his life. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St,, St. Thomas in charge of arrangements.

Melanie and Pauls family

My heart is broken hearing of Paul’s passing. His zest for life, his passion for cars ( I am sure all the burnouts on the 112 are from him) and his laughter will all be so missed. He would bring Zena into town and I was always honoured with a visit (after I got back up from being knocked down). What a special guy he was! Sending our condolences to all. He will be missed! RIP my friend.️
