BALE, Robert "Bob"
1931 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Frederick Bale at the age of 94 years on May 17, 2025. Survived by the love of his life Annice for 52 years. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur, sister Doreen Cormier and parents Art and Lila Bale.
He is survived by his dear children Debbie Raiskums (Olaf), Robert Bale (Robin), Sherie Travers (Quinn), Creig Bale (Jayne), Jacquie Pece (Danny) and much-loved step daughters Brenda Jenings (Dennis), Nancy Loach-Fougere (Brian) and stepson Tom Loach (Lynn). He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Bob will be remembered for his contribution to the publishing and advertising community across Canada. Starting from his early years with Maclean Hunter followed by the start of his own company Stimulus Publishing in the mid 1960's. Stimulus Magazine was a bi-monthly magazine. ADNEWS, a weekly publication was launchedin the early 1980's directed to the same audience. Bob sold the company in 1995 and retired. In 1999, Bob joined Prepaid Legal Services, an international company and for the next 13 years was the business trainer for Ontario and Manitoba along with Annice, until 2013 when they retired to Kirkland Lake, Ontario on the shores of Crystal Beach.
Bob and Annice had many adventures over the years on their motorcycle trips, RV traveling and many trips to the Caribbean and abroad. Because of Bob’s great sense of humour and engaging personality, he will be loved and remembered by many.
Thanks go out to the wonderful and caring staff at Teck Pioneer who brightened each day, as Bob, in his characteristic way always made everyone laugh.
Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be buried in Southern Ontario. Donations may be made to Teck Pioneer Residence, 145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, Ontario, P2N 3P4.
