Harvey, William "Bill"

HARVEY, William "Bill"

1939 - 2025

June 14, 1939 – September 29, 2025

William “Bill” Harvey passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 14, 1939, Bill lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, laughter, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Bill was the devoted husband of Lou Harvey for 66 wonderful years. Together they built a legacy of love, raising four children: Bob Harvey (Rosanne), Pauline Harvey, Ron Harvey (Christine), and Suzanne Waldron (Bruce). He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren—Jeff Harvey, Melanie Heald (Chris), Stephanie Harvey (Craig), Shawn Harvey (Sarah), Kevin Harvey, Sabrina Rossen (Pete), Jennifer Simard (Steph), Maegan Hamelin (Luc), Sabrina Tremblay (Steph), and predeceased Christopher Waldron. He was also a joyful great-grandfather to sixteen great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness in his later years.

Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Hélène Harvey, two baby sisters and four brothers: Iréne Harvey, Hélène Harvey, Aurel Harvey, Léo Harvey, Roger Harvey, and Gerry Harvey. He deeply valued his family and carried the memory of his siblings with him throughout his life.

A truck driver for many years, Bill was known for his strong work ethic and quiet generosity. Outside of work, he was truly in his element. Whether hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, or simply spending time outdoors, Bill’s appreciation for nature was infectious. He had a talent for making his own fishing lures and loved sharing his tips and stories with anyone who would listen. His sense of humor and warm personality made him the heart of many family gatherings.

Family meant everything to Bill. He was the kind of man who always made time for those he loved—quick with a joke, a story, or a helping hand. He will also be dearly missed by his lifelong hunting and fishing buddies, who shared many early mornings, quiet camps, and tall tales by the fire.

Bill will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Bill’s memory.

Bob Harvey and family

Dear Bob and family. I remember your father well as a very young lad. As young as I was , he always joked with me or some kind of trick. Even after 55 years since that time , it’s kind of funny how certain people stick in your head. Sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace. Would be nice to get together again Bob. Lou and Family

Although I did not know Bill very well, I did know Lucille who worked in the cafeteria at the high school when I was there.
Then my mom became good friends with the women. I knew a lot of the Harveys as I went to school with some. RIP Bill no more pain
